Test Set.
This service is available currently licensed users of the ASE2000, or to those who need to view a capture file. The software requires the ASE2000 hardware and licence key to operate. To View capture files, no hardware is required, however you will have to contact ASE for a licence key to view the captured data in the correct protocol format. Each of these downloads is a single .exe file that can be downloaded to a temporary folder and executed to install the associated function.
Trial Version Introduction - Describes procedure for downloading, installing, and running the ASE Trial Version. Also contains required Protocol License and Password.

NOTE!!! Please review the "Trial Version Introduction" document. This document contains the Protocol License and Password information that will be required to run the Trial Version of the ASE2000.
Beginning with ASE2000 Version 1.32, the Data Base access mechanism for supporting the permanent database store facility associated with the "Point View" display has changed (ADO vs. DAO). In most cases this will be transparent and require no additional steps.
However, if the necessary software is not installed, the ASE2000 software will not operate correctly. In some cases it will display the error message "ADO Exception" or something relating to an ADO problem and continue to operate. In other cases, it will display an error message and terminate. If the necessary MDAC routines are not present, these error conditions will occur as soon as the test set is started.
Computers running under Windows ME, Windows 2000, or Windows XP will have all necessary data base support routines already installed. Also, computers with the latest version of MS Access or MS SQL Server installed will also have the necessary data base support routines already installed.
If you do not have the necessary data base support routines - MDAC (Microsoft Data Access Components) and an data base engine such as MS Jet 3.5 or 4.0 installed, you can download and install the following two files:

UnZIP the downloaded file onto a floppy to create a Driver Installation Disk and specify the floppy drive when prompted by Windows for the location of the I/O driver.
!!! Windows 2000 / XP / Vista Drivers - PLEASE NOTE !!!
The drivers are not "signed" by Microsoft and, depending on the security settings of your system, this could prevent installation, generate a warning, or allow installation. The default is to generate a warning. We have sent some questions to Microsoft about this process, but have not yet received an answer.
