  Applied Systems Engineering, Inc. (ASE), the technology leader in the manufacture of RTU / IED protocol test equipment (ASE2000) for the SCADA industry and the development of communication protocol translators (SPT4-NET) and PC Based Front End Processor/ Data concentrator (SPT-PC).

   
The ASE2000 communication test sets are currently in use worldwide by RTU and IED equipment manufactures, electric power utilities, and SCADA system vendors. Over 100 protocols are available.
   
Substation Alarm Manager (SAM) was developed in order to provide Power Utilities with a simple way to show the current status and data within a substation. SAM utilizes our extensive protocol library and allows for a wide variety of substation equipment to be monitored. Data can be acquired either by eavesdropping on an active circuit or directly polling an RTU/IED.
       
   
 
PC based Communication Gateway designed for use in SCADA environments to manage the flow of data and control operations between RTUs, IEDs, Master stations, HMI systems, and user-written application processes. SPT-PC can manage master and remote device communication on Ethernet port(s) and up to 32 serial channels, integrate protocol translation and data concentrator capabilities.
  
IEC 61850-6 Visual SCL can be used for SAS functional specification ( SSD files ), IED capability description ( ICD files ), as well as SA system description ( SCD files ).

DNP 3.0, IEC 60870-5-101 , 60870-5-103 and 60870-5-104 protocols are implemented on all of the Applied Systems Engineering platforms. Legacy protocols include Telegyr 8979, Conitel Series, Tejas Series, Harris 5000 protocols, RP570, SPABUS, CDC series. Click Here for a full list.
